“The Kids Are All Right” premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and became the festival’s top purchase ($4.8 million) by Focus Features. The film has an independent frame of talent and a movie picture holding with all the appropriate cinematic elements.

“Two teenaged children conceived by artificial insemination get the notion to seek out their birth father and introduce him into the family life that their two mothers have built for them. Once the donor is found, the household will never be the same, as family ties are defined, re-defined, and then re-re-defined.”

I enjoy stories involving families with an unconventional structure and the messages that emerge from its dynamics. I have notice that when you take the framework away from a structure based on an artificial tradition, and reconstruct it with the same natural pieces without using the existing structural blueprint – you get a better glimpse of genuine human emotion and ultimately resulting in love.

“The Kids Are All Right” will be released July 7th, 2010.

Starring: Annette Bening, Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Mia Wasikowska, and Josh Hutcherson.

Directed by: Lisa Cholodenko

True Romance is an early ’90s film that has a lot of what’s going on in films today. Comic books, nerds, crazy ass shoot-outs, drugs, and an ensemble cast. This film has an incredible range in hollywood names, starting with the writer Quentin Tarantino…and continues to Slater, Arquette, Oldman, Hopper, Walken, Kilmer, Gandolfini, Pitt, Rapaport, Sizemore, Penn (Chris), Bronson Pinchot “Balki Bartokomous”, Jackson.

Directed by: Tony Scott

– This scene with Hopper and Walken is my favorite –
