Tim Burton is Masterminding a Sleeping Beauty Remake?

Apparently, there are some rumors floating around the Land of Disney pertaining to – Tim Burton exploring the dark world of “Sleeping Beauty”. The idea is a semi-live action approach – falling down the same rabbit hole as “Alice in Wonderland” – but into the black soul of the “Mistress of All Evil” – Maleficent.

I am very excited to see this classic princess film get twisted and deluded by Tim Burton’s body odor and like all his films are birthed from his armpit. Of course, we have to assume the lovely Helena Bonham Carter will be splattered into the role of Malefcient. Timmy is always looking out for the wifey.

The question…Where is Depp???

Girls Rock!

“The Runaways” is a film by Floria Sigismondi telling the story of the 1970’s all-girl rock band by the same name. Kristen Stewart portrays Joan Jett’s rebellious reputation that spawned her infamous image in rock ‘in roll history.

The film tells the story of two hellraiser’s, Joan Jett (Stewart) and Carrie Currie, played by Dakota Fanning, resistance towards society and their volcanic transformation into rock stars. The Runaways’ punk-image and organic talent scolded their rock legend into girls brag books for generations to come.
Also Starring – Stella Maeve as Sandy West, Scout Taylor-Compton as Lita Ford, and Michael Shannon as Kim Fowley. Alia Shawkat plays the band’s bassist, a fictional character named Robin, created due to alleged legal issues preventing the portrayal of bassist Jackie Fox.

I would like to recommend Lou Adler’s “Girl-Rock” movie Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains (1981)
Starring – Diane Lane and Laura Dern

Hepburn’s portrayal of Holly Golightly as the na├»ve, eccentric rich man’s escort (not quite the call girl she may have been in Truman Capote’s novella) is generally considered to be the actress’s most memorable and identifiable role. She herself regarded it as one of her most challenging roles, since she was an introvert required to play an extrovert. Hepburn’s performance of “Moon River” helped composer Henry Mancini and lyricist Johnny Mercer win an Oscar for Best Song.

Peter Sargaard joins the cast of Martin Campbell’s “Green Lantern” as the villain Dr. Hector Hammond.
The backstory on the Doctor involves a meteor rock in Africa – “naturally” – that heightens his intelligence and essentially turns him into a madman. Of course, when you are dealing with a villain – there is always some abuse of power involved. Dr. Hammond uses his alien meteor rock to build fascinating inventions that form him into a celebrity of the community. Hal Jordan “Green Lantern” catches wind of the doctor’s rising to fame and needs to investigate.
