Laurence Fishburne has joined the cast of Zach Snyder’s “Man of Steel” film. Mr. Fishburne will take on the role of the infamous Editor-in-Cheif of the Daily Planet – Perry White.
Fishburne, famous to genre fans for his role as Morpheus in “The Matrix” and Jimmy Jump in “King of New York” (my favorite), will join Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond, Christopher Meloni and Harry Lennix for the film, currently in production.
Man of Steel is set for release on a later date of the Summer of 2013.

Russell Crowe has been rumored to portray Superman’s biological father Jor-El in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel.
I wonder what the Kryptonian scientist thought about circumcision???
Variety exclusively broke the news of Crowe’s probable casting, saying that producer Christopher Nolan had long wanted a huge name to play the Man of Steel’s Kryptonian father. According to the piece, Sean Penn and Clive Owen were both considered but Crowe was the first choice to portray Jor-El.
Crowe will be joining Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon and Antje Traue in the new film, coming to the silver screen in June 2013.
Christopher Nolan, Charles Roven, Emma Thomas and Deborah Snyder are producing the anticipated film, which is expected to start shooting next month in Illinois.
